Self Improvement- Things I am not good at

Assembling ANYTHING (note the Cozy Coup above- this required many many hours, fights, and tools; but in the end it is all worth it)

Installing ANYTHING. Routing wires gives me a headache. I joke that I am allergic to wires.

Keeping track of things. I would lose my head if it wasn't connected. Part of me thinks it's because I'm always trying to do things too fast, or do too much. Locking my keys in my car or leaving my wallet at home on the kitchen table are very common occurances for me.

The first two are probably a lost cause. The third, keeping track of and not losing things is my main focus these days. The key is to SLOW DOWN. Make sure I remember where I put things. Make sure that I have everything I need before I go somewhere.

Wish me luck.

Benefits of Caffeine Addiction

Ah, I figured out the perfect time to work on this thing, during my mandated 30 minute lunch at work! Excellent!

I received my first issue of Parents Magazine yesterday, a subscription I purchased using My Coke Rewards. It's nice to get something back from the hundreds of dollars I spend a year on Diet Soda. And it's a good gimmick for them too- they have totally switched me from purchasing Pepsi-Max or Pepsi-One, to someone who only buys Coke Zero and Diet Coke!

I also have a subscription to Ready Made on the way, and constantly have credits for free Snapfish photos and gifts (great at Christmas time!).

Anyways, no I am not a paid sponsor for Coke, I just think that if you haven't taken them up on this yet, you need to start saving your lids/boxes. If not for yourself, then for me! (I'm currently saving up for a subscription to Martha Stewart's Living).

So here are some topics to come....early projects, lady-bug birthday party, and a review of my upcoming trip to Pottsville/Lancaster PA.

In the meantime, I continue working on my customized Guess Who (no template needed)
and Monopoly (template at the link needed)

I love it!!

Thank goodness for my Silhouette, which my wonderful husband got me for mother's day! It allows these dreams below to be actually possibilities!!

Pimp Peyton's Ride

Goodbye expensive decal stores...

For all my metro riders

I beleive in the motto "Metro Closes Doors" rather than their choosen tagline of "opening" them. For the most expensive transit system in America, they sure seem to be the least efficient.

Below is a Metro map drawn to scale::

I love this video...HILARIOUS....

The Beginning of Something New

I promised I would try new things in 2011, so here goes my attempt at "Blogging." First and foremost I am going to post all the wonderful projects that I had previously been storing as a word documents.

Blue and Red M&M's, vanilla frosting with 4 drops of yellow food coloring and 1 1/2 Teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa. Thats all you need to make these adorable mini pies

I made my mother (a school teacher) a variation of this for Mother's Day.

I WILL be making this....

what you'll need:
  • 5x7 thanks a latte print
  • a coffee sleeve
  • white or kraft cardstock
  • twine
  • stapler and double sided tape
  • gift card for starbucks

Well, that's all for now. Meanwhile I will be working on a custom Monopoly and custom Guess Who boardgame for my extended family vacation at the end of June.
